Reducing our carbon footprint is at the heart of our sustainability efforts. The target? Net Zero by 2040. Ten years ahead of the UN’s Paris Agreement to make a serious impact. In September 2023, as part of the THG family, we received validation from the SBTi that our net zero targets were aligned to the latest climate science.

Packaging
Packaging is central to our journey to net zero. As members of the UK Plastic Pact, we’re committed to eliminating problematic plastics from our packaging.
Our tubs are already recyclable in your household collections, our vitamin and mineral bottles use 50% recycled plastic, and MP Activewear packaging contains 95% recycled plastic.
We’ve also been busy transitioning our pouches and bars to a mono-material so they can be recycled in larger supermarkets along with other soft plastics in lieu of consistent home recycling services across the UK and Europe.
Our continuous innovation means we’re well on our way to achieving our target to make 100% of our packaging recyclable or reusable by 2025. In 2022 71% of packaging, by weight, was recyclable, a huge increase on the 52% achieved in 2021.
There are still challenges to overcome, but we’re always seeking solutions to improve our packaging and minimise waste.
Energy & Waste
We’re working hard to reduce the impact of our operations. That’s why 100% of our manufacturing sites are now powered by 100% renewable electricity and we've set an ambitious target to send zero waste to landfill across all operations and ensure suppliers operate zero waste by 2030.
Delivery
You might’ve seen the Eco Delivery option at checkout. This feature helps us identify the most sustainable route for your parcel, with the “final mile” completed by foot, bicycle, or electric vehicle where available. Plus, we’ve partnered with More Trees, who plant a tree sapling in one of our projects each time Eco Delivery is used.
